the Foundation

The Dalai Lama FoundationThe Dalai Lama Foundation is a non-profit corporation whose purpose is to help create global capacity for ethics and peace, based on a non-religious ethic of compassion, as described by His Holiness the XIV Dalai Lama.

The Foundation uses both unpaid volunteers and paid staff to undertake projects world-wide. A small central staff in California (USA) coordinates worldwide efforts. There are national committees in Russia, Canada and Japan who further our work around the world.

The web site of The Dalai Lama Foundation contains information on all of its programs and activities.

We also provide online services and advice for some of our partner organizations, and we collaborate with them on many projects.

As Chief Technology Officer of the Foundation, I plan, execute and support most of the Foundation’s online activities.
